This video of the week is from April 2015 at Laurel-Snow Pocket Wilderness. I first started visiting "pocket" as we call it, back in 2000 while attending college in nearby Dayton. Since about 2006 we've made it a point to visit here at least once a year, and it's become one of our absolute favorite places. In this video we hike to Laurel Falls then follow the trail up above the falls to cross the very cold creek, before ending at Bryan Overlook, 3.3 miles from the trailhead. Laurel Falls is a beautiful 80 foot waterfall that we've seen at just a trickle and also at full spring flow! It's fun to scramble around on the rocks underneath feeling the spray from the waterfall. We can't recommend pocket enough and absolutely love exploring all the beautiful areas here! This video has music from one of our favorite artists, Northcape. https://northcape.bandcamp.com/
